    They are headquartered in Montreal where 300 of their 450 employees are based. The Montreal location includes the corporate offices, production and warehouse facilities.

    The Trim buyer will be responsible for the selection and identification of trim and accessories that is representative of the Joseph Ribkoff brand. Accountable for purchasing and procuring the appropriate merchandise mix based of future collection


    • Partner with vendor to source trim & accessories
    • Follow-up with vendors/factories on all trims style and communicate any change or additional details
    • Develop and maintain image library files
    • Maintain product development and design records in the computer system;
    • Follow up with designers and suppliers, technical drawings and production; facilitate communication within the company
    • Contribute positively to team dynamics
    • Negotiate product quality, purchase quantity, landed cost, and delivery with vendors
    • Perform continuous competitor and market analysis by researching various mediums for emerging trends in color, materials, and categories


    • 3-5 years of experience in the fashion industry with buying responsibilities is essential
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills (Team oriented)
    • Bilingual (English and French) written and spoken
    • Demonstrated detail orientation; high sense of organization;
    • Ability to manage multiple projects;
    • Must have strong problem-solving skills that allow for a proactive approach to the business and organisational skills necessary to complete multiple tasks with deadlines
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Technical abilities on Adobe Illustrator design software (required), with Photoshop (an asset) and In Design (an asset);
    • Must possess basic Microsoft and Excel skills
    • Degree in fashion or graphic design is asset
